Swindon North District Scouts are pleased to announce that the Lydiard Park Firework Spectacular is back for 2023.
After the overwhleming response to last years event, this year we are a
TICKET ONLY EVENT
You will need to puchase a ticket online before coming as there will be no way to buy tickets at the park
Will There Be Disabled Access?
We allow those with disabilities to park closer to the action, so you'll have a good view of the bonfire and fireworks. On arrival at the event, if you could make it known to the entry staff that you'll need disabled parking, we will gladly escort your vehicle further into the venue.
Will there BE A Bar on Site?
Firework Spectacular is a no alcohol event. There will be no alcohol sold and anyone found to be either drinking alcohol or under the influence will be asked to leave the event.
Do I need a Ticket for my 4yr old?
No... Children under 5 are free, if your child is 5 or older, then they will need a ticket.
Can I BRING MY DOG?
We ask that people do not bring pets to the display.
Can I Bring or Buy Sparklers?
Unfortunately Hot sparklers and crowds are not a good mix so we ask that you leave sparklers at home... There will be Glow/LED products on sale for you to wave and join in! Please also do not bring your own fireworks.
Will this event happen?
The organisers can see no reason as to why the event will be cancelled, the only thing that could stop it is extreme weather conditions.
Do I need to Buy Tickets in ADvance?
Yes... This year's event is a ticket only event. There will be no means of purchasing a ticket at the gates.
Do We do Carer tickets?
We do not have carer tickets as such but if you are attending with a Blue Badge holder, then we allow one carer per badge holder to enter for free.
WHo organisies this display and who benefits?
This event is run by the Swindon Scouts. We are all volunteers and have day jobs too. No-one is paid to put this event on. All monies raised by the event go back into the local scout groups in Swindon to help with the running of those sections... Some of the activities that this event helps raise money for are...
-
Help with scouts to attend International Events
-
Buying Equipment
-
Helping to subsidise experiences that the members would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience
